There have been several studies in the past and continuing that are finding the benefits that exist when ingesting Lion's Mane Mushrooms. These mushrooms are found mostly in the Northern Hemisphere. They typically are found growing on hardwood trees (dead or alive) in North America, Europe, and Asia. The Lion's Mane Mushroom gets its name because of the fruiting body that resembles a Lion's Mane.
These mushrooms can take many forms so they can be ingested and bringing a different experience with each one. It is gaining popularity in the vegan food space because it is a great substitute for meat products such as chicken, lobster, crab. The fresh fruit teeth (the "Mane" part) texture being pulled apart is stringy, which closely resembles pulled meat. Once dehydrated it can be ground into powder to be incorporated in any sorts of baking, with little influence on flavor.
The studies have been trying to find proof of what people claim this mushroom has done for them. Personally, I find this mushroom to provide benefits to me in the form of increased focus, reduced inflammation, and lessoned effects from anxiety. A "standard" dose is thought to be 500mg daily. Lion's Mane Mushroom supplements on the whole, haven't been evaluated by the FDA enough to have an actual standard. Of course when eating as a meat replacement one could easily go over that dose amount.
We in Terps & Spores are taking Lion's Mane Mushrooms and incorporating them into products that can be used in everyday life, your way. Instead of starting or ending your day with taking another pill, have a Lion's Mane infused gummy, an infused piece of decedent dark chocolate, or dip an infused honey (our own bee farm) stir sucker into one of our herbal tea blends. If pills are your more your style, we still have those too.
